Lots o Updates!

Hey everybody,
This coming Friday (the 23rd) is a big day for the club. In the afternoon we have our annual pro sale where we have talked local pro and amateur skiers and riders into coming to campus to sell their used gear from last season. They will have new stuff, old stuff, skis, boards, jackets, hats whatever. This is at 1:30p in the special events room in HWAC. Bring cash and get hooked up for the season!
That Friday night is also the premier of two snowboard films on campus, People Creatives "Nice Try" and Dinobots "Never Gonna Get It" both films are way sick. There should be lots of free goodies tossed out as well as a raffle. If your in the club of course, both of these events are free for you to get into. Doors are at 730 at the Gore Building.
More prosale- CAUSWELL ski shop over in cottonwood heights is doing a similiar deal as us on Saturday, October 24, so if you dont get what you want on Friday, check out causwell.
Saturday night- There is a show In the Venue which is DJ's HathBanger and Daywalker, as well as local hio hop artists Royalty and Snug n Butterfingers. Dont know if any of you guys have heard this stuff, but its real cool, so check it out! Its five bucks for entry.

Coming up in the next couple weeks are the pass deadlines for Park City and the Canyons, the night before those are due we're going to show a couple videos and have some pizzas. As this comes closer I'll let you know the time and place.

We're going to the Progressive Power Tumbling Gym in Provo! Its dope, olympic beds, foams pits. Its going to be two weeks from today, so Thursday the 24th and we're stoked! If you want in RSVP to us in Shaw and get your dues in! PEACE.

In case you haven't heard...

Park City is open until the 19th! That's an extra week of skiing!

If you have wanted to go to PC but only have a Canyons pass, you're in luck; Canyon's pass holders can get a lift ticket at PC for only $20. Killer deal.

The past month has been pretty deep. In two weeks we've gotten about 150" of fresh. Epic.

In other news, PC closes in 8 days and it will be sunny! April 11th will be an official WSSC PC get-together. Details to come.

College Daze at The Canyons

On March 21st The Canyons put on a College-Only Competition; invited schools included Westminster, U of U, BYU, and UVU.

The comp turned from a team format to a jam format. Westminster won 7 out of 13 possible wins!

Jack Stauss - Best rail trick, Best rail skier, Best overall trick

Liam Wentworth - Best air trick

Kristie Giles - Best female

Graham Banks - Best rail snowboarder



Brody Leven - Best quarterpipe booster


The Canyons has a sick park and has tons of great events throughout the year. Props to them for a sick comp.

We just commission ASWC for a budget increase from $800 to $1000. It's a small step towards a big year next year.

We are working on our annual trip currently. Unfortunately The Collegiate Nationals is changed to the Alt Games this year and there are not any spots for us. :(
So instead we are planning a trip to Tahoe sometime in April/May!
Including: Kingvale and Squaw / Get stoked
